Job summary

Comfort Keepers group is hiring compassionate Caregivers to provide companionship, personal care, and health services for seniors in the MidCoast Maine area. Join a supportive team and make a real difference in daily lives.

Full-time and part-time roles are available. You’ll work one-on-one in clients' homes, build meaningful relationships, and help with daily tasks while enjoying flexible scheduling and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience (preferred but not required).
• Valid Driver's License, Automobile Insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Open availability strongly preferred.
• Submit to Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to seniors in their homes.
• Establish open communication with seniors and families.
• Help seniors with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organization.
• Accompany seniors to grocery stores, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.
• Organize transportation, ambulation and transfers.
• Encourage activity and movement.
• Inspire a positive, can-do attitude for daily tasks and hobbies.
• Maintain a trusting and comforting home environment.

Position Physical Demands:

The work requires moderate to physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer

activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear, reach, kneel, crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
