Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking Caregivers to provide compassionate, in-home care to seniors in the MidCoast Maine area. You will offer companionship and personal care, helping clients live independently with dignity and safety in their own homes.

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Competitive weekly pay, health insurance, and ongoing training are part of the benefits, with opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Open availability strongly preferred.
• Submit to pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care to seniors in their own homes.
• Establish open communication and build friendly relationships with seniors and families.
• Assist with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organization.
• Accompany seniors to grocery store, appointments and pharmacy visits.
• Help organize transportation, ambulation and transfers.
• Encourage activity and movement.
• Maintain a trusting and comforting home environment.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities:

Position Physical Demands:

The work requires moderate to physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer

activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear, reach, kneel, crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
