Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring both part-time and full-time Caregivers in the Somerset area to join our team. We provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and adults who need a helping hand and companionship.

As a caregiver, you will assist with daily activities, personal care, transportation, and light housekeeping, while supported by a caring team.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provides friendly companionship and assistance with daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, running errands, laundry and light housekeeping
• Personal Care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services
• Provides transportation to doctor's appointments, beauty shops, etc.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Companionship and/or Personal Care experience, preferred
• A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others
• Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within Pulaski, Russell, Wayne, Rockcastle & McCreary counties
• Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid KY Driver's License
• Ability to pass background checks and work-related references
• Must pass drug testing
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or care for a family member is preferred but not required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Client home setting and automobile. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.

POSITION PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work requires moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting clients in transfer activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, see, reach, kneel, and crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
