Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in Maine.

You will support daily living, mobility, housekeeping, meals, companionship, transportation, and health reporting, helping clients maintain independence and dignity while adhering to state certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Maine PSS Certification or willingness to complete training.
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and active auto insurance.
• Patient, compassionate attitude toward the elderly and commitment to quality care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Provide mobility support, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Help with light housekeeping like laundry, dishes, and tidying living areas.
• Support meal planning and shopping according to dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities.
• Escort to appointments and assist with errands.
• Observe changes in health and report to supervisor.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Support Specialists. In this role, you will provide essential non-medical care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. Your support helps our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Mobility Support: Provide help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Transportation: Escort clients to doctor’s appointments and help with essential errands.
• Reporting: Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.

Requirements
