Job summary

Davis Insurance Associates, Inc. is seeking a Personal Lines Sales Agent to help prospective clients find the right personal insurance coverage while growing the agency through new business sales.

The role focuses on home, auto, umbrella, flood, and other personal insurance products. The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, organized, tech-friendly, and able to guide clients from initial conversation through binding coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license preferred; candidates willing to become licensed may be considered.
• Personal lines experience preferred, but strong sales background with ability to learn insurance also considered.
• Experience quoting and selling homeowners and auto is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with ability to present recommendations, overcome objections, follow up, and close sales.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to new personal insurance leads (phone, email, website, referrals).
• Speak with prospects to understand needs and gather information for accurate quotes.
• Quote personal lines: homeowners, auto, umbrella, flood, renters, condo, motorcycle, boat, etc.
• Explain coverages, deductibles, limits, exclusions, and options clearly.
• Present quotes and recommendations and ask for the sale; maintain an organized sales pipeline.
• Bind new policies and ensure applications, signatures, payments, and underwriting information are complete.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional coverage to round out accounts.
• Build long-term client relationships and transition to service team after sale.
• Document calls, emails, quotes, and follow-up activity in the agency’s systems.
• Meet individual sales, activity, and production goals.
• Maintain knowledge of carrier guidelines, appetite, products, and market conditions.
• Maintain required insurance licensing and continuing education.
• Collaborate with other sales agents, account managers, and leadership.
