Job summary

United Insurance in Maine is seeking a Personal Lines Associate to support the Personal Lines Account Managers by delivering excellent customer service, processing transactions, and preparing proposals. You will build strong relationships with team members, carriers, clients, and the community.

Responsibilities include handling policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and rate requests, entering quotes, and preparing proposals for client presentations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in related field preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain state P&C licensing within 90 days of employment.
• Organized, multitask, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Proficient utilizing MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive team-oriented relationship with colleagues.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures for workflow and documentation.
• Screen and answer incoming calls - assist and forward as appropriate.
• Review and process mail using established procedures.
• Respond to daily requests for IDs, binder, BOR, cancellations, and payments.
• Process transactions and renewals according to workflows.
• Assist Account Managers in documenting client and carrier interactions.
• Contribute to workflow documentation and process improvement.
• Develop expertise in the EPIC system.
• Communicate quotes to Account Manager(s) regarding costs and obligations.
• Enter quotes into online rating platforms (PL Rater).
• Prepare quote proposals for Account Manager(s).
• Cover for Account Manager(s) when licensed and out of office.
• Meet or exceed job responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
