Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a strong focus on Personal Injury to manage civil cases through intake, discovery, and trial. You will develop case strategy, conduct investigations, handle depositions, and advocate vigorously in court.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active Texas bar admission, solid civil litigation background in PI matters, and excellent research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills. Travel for client meetings and court appearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active admission to the state bar.
• Strong civil litigation background with personal injury experience.
• Proven courtroom experience including depositions and trial
• Knowledge of tort law, civil procedure, evidence rules, and litigation strategy.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Client-focused with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters from intake to resolution.
• Conduct factual and legal investigations, coordinate with experts, gather evidence.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other court documents.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and handle discovery.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and trials; present oral arguments and examine witnesses.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurers to protect clients' interests.
• Maintain clear client communication and manage expectations throughout the case.
• Collaborate with paralegals, investigators, experts, and other attorneys on litigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines, local rules, and ethical standards.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm litigation practices.
