Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a focus on personal injury.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage heavy caseloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication, legal research, and analytical skills.
• Comfort working with medical records, accident reports, and expert witnesses.
• Willingness to travel to client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
• Nice to have: car/trucking and motor vehicle accident experience, wrongful death litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of personal injury matters, including automobile, trucking, and catastrophic injury claims.
• Conduct client intake, investigation, and case evaluation; develop case strategies and litigation plans.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and settlement documents.
• Lead discovery efforts, including written discovery, depositions, and subpoenas; coordinate with experts and medical professionals.
• Prepare and argue motions, present oral arguments, and represent clients at hearings and trial.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Work with accident reconstructionists, medical experts, and vocational specialists to build strong cases.
• Maintain accurate case management records, deadlines, and billing; supervise paralegals and support staff as needed.
• Provide clear communication and regular updates to clients regarding case progress and strategy.
• Participate in pretrial preparation, jury selection, trial exhibits, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.
