Speaks Law Firm in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced high-volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to support attorneys in a fast-paced firm. The role requires handling a high volume of NC PI claims with attention to detail and strong client communication.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, interviewing witnesses, organizing case files, monitoring medical treatment, and coordinating with insurance firms and health portals.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of NC personal injury claims experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Passion for advocating for clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
• Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries.
• Organize, store, and retrieve case files and exhibits.
• Monitor and manage a client’s medical treatment.
• Send requests for medical records and billing information.
• Maintain and organize client files; prepare general correspondence and e-mails.
• Understand subrogation liens and disputing unrelated charges.
• Complete balance sheets reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals.
