Speaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high-volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our legal team in the Carolinas. Candidates must have at least two years of PI claim experience in NC and SC.

The role involves drafting pleadings, interviewing clients and witnesses, organizing case files, and coordinating with attorneys and insurance adjusters. A strong communicator with solid organizational skills will thrive, with bilingual ability a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience handling NC/SC personal injury claims.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with case management
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters and professionals.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, affidavits, and motions.
• Interview clients and witnesses and summarize statements.
• Organize and manage case files and evidence.
• Monitor and manage client medical treatment and records requests.
• Prepare correspondence and legal packages in Case Management Software.
• Understand subrogation liens and charge disputes.
• Complete balance sheets reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments.

Job description

Speaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our legal team. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with a high volume of personal injury claims in NC and SC.

No phone calls or recruiter inquiries please.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
• Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
• Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
• Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
• Monitor & manage client’s medical treatment
• Send requests for information including medical records & billing
• Maintain/organize client files
• Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Case Management Software
• Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges
• Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) plus years of experience working with NC and SC personal injury claims
• Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues

Preferred:

• Associate's degree or higher
• Paralegal certificate a plus
• Experience with SmartAdvocate software a plus
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
