Job summary

Speaks Law Firm in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to support attorneys and clients in a high-volume practice. Ideal candidates have at least two years of NC PI claims experience and a passion for advocacy.

You will draft pleadings, manage case files, coordinate with insurance adjusters, interview clients and witnesses, and ensure timely filing. This role offers a collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
• Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
• Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
• Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
• Monitor & manage client’s medical treatment
• Send requests for information including medical records & billing
• Maintain/organize client files
• Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Case Management Software
• Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges
• Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals

Speaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington team. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with a high volume of personal injury claims in NC.

No phone calls or recruiter inquiries please.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects

• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
