Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• 1+ years of legal experience, preferably in civil litigation or personal injury.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and assist with case strategy.
• Meet with clients, understand their circumstances, and provide clear legal guidance.
• Investigate accidents and gather relevant evidence and documentation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
• Manage written discovery and assist with case development.
• Take and defend depositions as experience permits.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, experts, and other involved parties.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibits, evidence, and trial strategy.
• Work with medical professionals, investigators, experts, and other consultants when appropriate.
• Manage assigned cases efficiently while maintaining a high level of client service.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff throughout the life of each case.

The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation or a strong interest in developing a career in personal injury law. Experience handling cases involving serious injuries, auto accidents, premises liability, products liability, or other tort matters is valued.

• A genuine interest in developing as a litigator and taking on increasing responsibility.

Personal injury experience is not required for the right candidate. Attorneys with transferable civil litigation experience and a strong interest in personal injury are encouraged to apply.
