Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice in Columbus, OH is seeking a Personal Care Specialist to provide hands-on care, comfort, and companionship to patients while supporting families and the hospice care team. You’ll work approximately 24 hours per week, with a shift from 6:30 a.m.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to patients, helping with daily activities and comfort needs.


• Support and encourage family members as they care for their loved ones.


• Build meaningful connections with patients through attentive, compassionate care.


• Observe patients closely and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing and care team.


• Accurately document care and services provided.


• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the hospice team.


• Help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and families.

Schedule

• Part-time: Approximately 24 hours per week


• Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.


• Location: Inpatient Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
