Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to provide hands-on care, comfort, and companionship to patients at the Inpatient Unit of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH. This part-time position offers meaningful patient contact and collaboration with a compassionate hospice team.

You’ll support daily activities, assist families, and accurately document care while helping maintain a safe and dignified environment for patients and loved ones.

As a Personal Care Specialist, you’ll provide hands‑on care, comfort, and companionship to patients while supporting their families and working alongside a dedicated hospice care team.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to patients, helping with daily activities and comfort needs.
  • Support and encourage family members as they care for their loved ones.
  • Build meaningful connections with patients through attentive, compassionate care.
  • Observe patients closely and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing and care team.
  • Accurately document care and services provided.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the hospice team.
  • Help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and families.
Schedule
  • Part-time: Approximately 24 hours per week
  • Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Inpatient Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
