Morningside House of Collegeville, part of Morningside Elite Management, is hiring a full-time Caregiver for 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am shifts in Collegeville, PA. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities and maintaining dignity in a memory care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and supervise safety during daily routines.
• Offer emotional and social support to residents and document daily care activities.
• Follow resident care plans and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality and respectful treatment of residents at all times.
• Participate in required trainings and ensure a safe work environment.

Caregiver - Position Summary:

Provides assistance to residents with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Health & Wellness Director.

Caregiver - Essential Functions:

• Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Documents daily log of assistance.Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Caregiver respects residents’ confidentiality.
• Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Caregiver maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Caregiver - Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require a CNA or CHHA licensure
