AltaMed Health Services Corp. in Huntington Park, CA is seeking a Personal Care Attendant I to support participants across care delivery platforms, assist with food services, and coordinate activities to meet the full spectrum of participants’ recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs.

The role includes accompanying PACE participants to appointments and requires a high school diploma; bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination and preparation of all food services.
• Support and assist center activities; coordinate delivery of quality activity programs for participants.
• Accompany/assist PACE participants to external appointments.
• Ensure recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met.
