Job summary

AltaMed Health Services seeks a Personal Care Attendant I to support participants across care delivery platforms. You will assist in coordinating and preparing food services, support center activities, and help deliver quality activity programs for all participants.

The role ensures physical, intellectual, spiritual and social needs are met, and may involve accompanying PACE participants to outside appointments. Bilingual skills and a current BLS certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination and preparation of all food services.
• Support and assist center activities and coordinate quality activity programs for all participants.
• Ensure recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual and social needs of each patient are met.
• Accompany and assist PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments.
