Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp is seeking a Personal Care Attendant I to provide support to participants across all care delivery platforms. You will assist in coordinating, preparing food services, supporting center activities, and delivering quality activity programs.

You will help ensure the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each participant are met, and accompany patients to outside specialty appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate upon employment preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across delivery of care platforms and coordinate food services.
• Support center activities and coordination of quality activity programs for participants.
• Ensure recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual and social needs of each patient are met.
• Accompany/assist PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments.
