Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation seeks a Personal Care Attendant I to support participants across all care delivery platforms in Huntington Park, CA. The role includes coordination of food service, facility activities, and delivery of comprehensive activity programs to meet physical, recreational, intellectual, spiritual and social needs.

You will accompany PACE participants to appointments and must have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and preferred bilingual abilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Food Handler Certification preferred within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with frail elderly and disabled populations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to participants across all care delivery platforms.
• Assist in coordination and preparation of all food services and center activities.
• Coordinate delivery of quality activity programs for all participants; address physical, recreational, intellectual, spiritual and social needs.
• Escort PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments.

Ability to assist in the coordination, preparation of all food services, support and assist center activities, and coordinate the delivery of quality activity programs/activities for all participants. Ensure that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met. Accompany/assist PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments.**Minimum Requirements*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.* Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population, preferred.* Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.* A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.**Compensation**$25.00 - $25.00 hourly**Compensation Disclaimer**Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
