Job summary

Right at Home is looking for passionate individuals to join a dynamic care team providing in-home care for seniors and disabled adults in North Central Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Experience preferred; Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides a plus.

We hire immediately for all shifts with flexible schedules to help people stay in the comfort of their homes. Caregivers perform personal care tasks per a plan of care, including hygiene, mobility, meals, and light homemaking,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities to assist with activities of daily living.

• Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
• Engage clients with activities and companionship.
• Perform prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Light homemaking: cleaning, laundry and dishes.

Caregiver Essential Functions

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair)
• Ambulation
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Assists with feeding
• Engagement activities with client (puzzles, card games, conversation)
• Performs patient‑specific activities that are taught by a nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Meal Preparation in accordance to instruction
• Performing homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

Caregiver Qualifications

• Verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to promote and maintain a safe environment
• Dependability
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured and reliable automobile
• Communicate effectively with office staff regularly
• Must be willing to follow all company policies and take direction from office staff
