Job summary

Savant of Alhambra is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team and support our senior residents in daily living activities.

You will report to the Wellness Director and assist with ADLs, grooming, hygiene, and mobility, while providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a warm, family-like environment.

Requirements include being 18+, English fluency, First Aid (and CPR if available), and a strong commitment to senior care. We offer a competitive pay range and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certification and comply with state regulations.
• May need to possess current CPR.
• Speak, read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, hygiene, bathing, and transferring.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• Must be 18+ years old
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• May need to possess current CPR
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $19.00- $21.50 per hour
