Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Norwalk, CA, is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide direct care and medication assistance to our residents, reporting to the Wellness Director. You will support activities of daily living, help with grooming, hygiene, transfers, and promote a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English fluency, and the ability to lift and move residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification may be required.
• First Aid certification required per state regulations.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents.
• Prolonged standing during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living: grooming, hygiene, bathing, and transfers.
• Lift and transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $18.00-$20.50 per hour
