Job summary

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, you’ll provide personal care, help with daily living activities, document conditions, and maintain a safe home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Personal Care Aide certification in GA (Interim can assist with certification).
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current TB screening and CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live at home safely.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation, companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders; document conditions and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways; encourage client joy through activities.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Active Personal Care Aide certification in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
