Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver in Jonesboro, GA. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to positively impact clients’ lives through in-home care.

You will perform daily living assistance, monitor health, and provide companionship while maintaining a safe, respectful environment. Sign-on bonuses are available, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active GA PCA certification (Interim can assist with certification).
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB screening.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
