Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver in Molena, GA to support seniors at home with daily living activities. You’ll provide compassionate care, help with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation while promoting safety and independence.

You’ll work with 1:1 client ratios, set your own schedule, and grow through online training and CEUs to enhance your caregiving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• GA Personal Care Aide certificate (or eligibility).
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid GA driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation, companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and ROM exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document conditions for supervisor notice.
• Ensure safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients with activities like puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Personal Care Aid certificate in GA, Interim can assist with certificate
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Hands-on current CPR and First Aid certification and a current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
