Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Cobb County, GA. The role offers flexibility, work-life balance, and the opportunity to build skills with online training and CEUs.

As part of Interim HealthCare, you’ll provide in-home personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support clients with mobility and safety, while maintaining client-focused, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; PCA certificate preferred in GA.
• CPR and First Aid certification current.
• Valid GA driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document conditions; notify supervisor as needed.
• Ensure a safe home environment and engage clients in enjoyable activities.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with PCA certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification and current TB Screening (within the last 12 months)
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal vehicle fortransportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
