Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Augusta is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Griffin, GA to provide compassionate at‑home support for seniors. You’ll assist with daily activities, mobility, meals, and companionship while maintaining safety and dignity in the home environment.

Competitive pay, 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and online training with CEUs are offered. Prior healthcare experience and GA HCA registration are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and GA HCA registration.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB screening.
• Valid GA driver’s license with active auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, meals and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Give medication reminders and communicate concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
