Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Rome, GA is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors at home in Cobb County, GA. This role offers 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to build skills with online training and CEUs.

The PCA will provide essential daily living assistance, reminders for medications, and compassionate care, helping clients stay independent and safe at home. A valid GA driver’s license and PCA certification are preferred or supported by Interim.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• GA PCA certification preferred; Interim can assist with PCA certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Valid GA driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities they enjoy.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with PCA certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification and current TB Screening (within the last 12 months)
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal vehicle fortransportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
