Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Forsyth, GA. This role focuses on client-centered home care, offering control over your schedule and a balancing life.

You’ll provide essential daily living support and companionship to seniors in their homes, with a focus on safety and dignity. Two-way communication with supervisors is essential, and the position requires a High School diploma, CPR certification, and a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Covid-19 vaccination card required.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients in activities that bring joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home


• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship


• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises


• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns


• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways


• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)


• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred


• CPR certification


• Covid-19 vaccination card


• Valid GAdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation


• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
