Primary Duties:

• Personal health care
• Light housekeeping
• Simple meal preparation
• Assistance with bathing and grooming
• Laundry services

Requirements:

• Assist clients with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor), nail care (excluding trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers.
• Ability to push and pull at least 100 pounds
• Lift at least 50 pounds
• Navigate tight spaces and move between objects and furniture
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, squatting, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, twisting, sitting, reaching above and below shoulder level
• Perform these physical functions continuously for up to an hour without rest

Additional Requirements:

• Active member of the Health Care Worker Registry
• Two references
• One year of experience as a homemaker or relevant skills indicating supervisory ability
• High school diploma or GED
• Pass background checks and complete IDOA CCP training
• Vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in various client homes
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the branch office weekly
