Personal Care Aide/Caregiver/Home Health Aide

Join our team as a Personal Care Aide, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide. We are seeking compassionate individuals to provide in-home care in the following areas: Alton, East Alton, Godfrey, Moro, and Jerseyville.

Job Duties:

• Providing personal health care
• Light housekeeping
• Simple meal preparation
• Assistance with bathing and grooming
• Laundry services
• Transportation assistance
• Companionship

Requirements:

• Ability to assist clients with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor), nail care (excluding trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers
• Ability to push and pull clients weighing at least 100 pounds
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Capability to maneuver in tight spaces and around furniture
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, sit, and reach
• Perform physical tasks continuously for up to an hour without rest

Additional Requirements:

• Active member of the Health Care Worker Registry
• Two references
• One year of experience as a homemaker or related supervisory skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Successful background checks
• Completion of IDOA CCP training for Homemaker Supervisor
• Vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work in various client homes
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the branch office
