Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a customer-focused branch associate to help clients with financial decisions, from routine transactions to planning for major purchases. The role emphasizes building trusted relationships through effective questions and tailored recommendations.

You will guide customers through digital banking options, support with everyday banking needs, and coordinate with partners in Wealth Management and Mortgage to address more complex financial goals.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions across spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs.
• Introduce customers to digital and mobile-first banking options via app and ATMs.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking to handle complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
• Follow all financial policies and procedures including cash handling and regulatory requirements.
