Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a Personal Banker in Missouri to build customer relationships and recommend banking products and services. You will work to understand financial goals, educate customers, and drive simple financial solutions during every interaction.

You will complete training on UMB products and sales processes, work with leadership mentors, and contribute to a high-energy, customer-centric team. This role may require weekend/evening shifts and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or related experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Basic math skills and problem solving within risk parameters.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer interactions into opportunities to learn financial goals and connect to solutions.
• Manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions, focusing on home equity, personal, auto loans and referrals.
• Grow the customer base through product knowledge, networking, and proactive sourcing.
• Learn cash handling, transactions, and bank documentation per standards.
• Meet or exceed daily performance metrics while delivering exceptional customer experience.
