Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation seeks a Customer-focused Personal Banker to build trusted relationships and offer financial solutions, including loans and cross-sell opportunities. You will learn UMB products, manage a loan pipeline, and deliver exceptional service while meeting branch KPIs in a fast-paced team environment.

Applicants should have a HS Diploma, 2 years of banking sales experience, and the ability to obtain NMLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or other relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products quickly and accurately.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• AsK personalized questions to learn goals and connect to financial solutions.
• Manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions including home equity, personal, auto, and mortgage referrals.
• Grow the customer base by networking, conversations, business development, and proactive sourcing.
• Learn transactions, cash drawer handling, and bank documentation per standards.
• Push to meet KPIs while delivering unparalleled customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
