Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Personal Banker I to assess customer financial needs and recommend suitable products and services. Under supervision, you will build relationships, generate leads, and provide clear guidance at the service window and through needs analysis.

This role requires 1–3 years banking or related customer-facing experience. You will support multiple branches and adhere to regulatory standards to ensure great customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Work experience in reception or secretarial duties acceptable.
• Exposure to financial industry training beneficial.
• Knowledge of bank operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Personal Banker and Service Representative functions to deliver efficient service.
• Provide transactional support to Tellers and perform dual control where applicable.
• Open personal and business accounts and prepare related documentation.
• Process loan applications including DDA lines of credit and credit card applications.
• Assist customers with requests, complaints, research and follow-up to resolve matters.
• Handle deposits, debit/credit cards, and other bank products or services.
• Process non-post reports, wires, and other branch tasks.
• Adhere to security procedures and bank policies; work with customers in person or by phone.
• Support multiple branch locations as needed.
• Develop profitable customer relationships and meet activity and growth goals.
• Engage in outbound calling and needs assessment for referrals to other products.
