Job summary

Salus Homecare is seeking caregivers to work in Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, and Escondido. Shifts include 4, 8, and 12 hours with days and nights, 7 days a week. A $200 sign-in bonus is offered for helping improve lives and providing care that feels like family.

Bonus is paid after 250 hours worked within 6 months. Applicants must have HCA certification, TB test within 90 days, and be legally eligible to work in the USA. Training on each client’s plan of care is provided.

Qualifications

• HCA CA State certification and Livescan fingerprinting required.
• TB test within 90 days of start date.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
• Physical ability to perform all job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Bathing, grooming, personal care, meal prep, toileting, ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction.
• Be oriented to and trained on each client’s Plan of Care.
• Meal prep and cooking.
• Light housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry).
• Transport clients to medical appointments, grocery store, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
• Bathing, grooming, personal care, feeding / meal prep, toileting ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction, and more!
• Be oriented and well trained on ALL aspects of the client’s Plan of Care
• Meal Prep and cooking
• Assist clients with LIGHT housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry, etc).
• Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery store, etc

Qualifications

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) - This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.
• TB Test - Must be within 90 days of start
• Must be able to legally work within the USA
• Physical capability to preform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving with clients
• Ability to speak, write, and read English is a requirement
