Job summary

Salus Homecare is seeking caregivers in Poway, California to assist clients with daily living activities. Overview

Salus Homecare is looking for caregivers that can work in the cities of Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, and Escondido. Candidates must be available Monday to Sunday, 7 days a week, with shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours. Clients are one‑on‑one and shifts include both day and night.

We are offering a $200 sign‑in bonus for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Bonus is paid after working 250 hours in 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, personal care, feeding/meal prep, toileting, ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction, and more.
• Be oriented and well‑trained on all aspects of the client’s Plan of Care.
• Prepare meals and cooking.
• Assist with light housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry, etc.).
• Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery store, etc.

Qualifications

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) – CA State requirement. Salus can assist with registration and FBI background check if you are not currently certified.
• TB test within 90 days of start.
• Legal ability to work in the USA.
• Physical capability to perform all job functions.
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving clients.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English.
