Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Developmental Specialist to help people with mental health or developmental disabilities achieve personal goals. You will assess hopes and desired outcomes, support relationship-building in the community, and promote self-determination through person-centered planning.

The role requires a high school diploma and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Sleepover shifts may be required, with travel as needed and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders in the served population.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals for hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to achieve them.
• Help individuals develop relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist participation in community activities aligned with each person’s interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals and support advocacy and self-determination.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Document progress, goals, actions, incidents, and timesheets accurately.
• Assist with daily home operations: housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, and transportation.
