Venice Cooling and Plumbing is seeking a detail-oriented Permitting Specialist / Customer Service Representative to join our Venice, FL office. This role blends permitting tasks with customer service, call-taking duties, and general administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have permitting experience (HVAC/plumbing/construction preferred), strong communication, and solid MS Office skills. Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus, and a teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior permitting experience in HVAC, plumbing, or construction preferred.
• Customer service or call center experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with service management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit HVAC and plumbing permit applications.
• Coordinate inspections with local municipalities.
• Track permit status and inspection schedules.
• Maintain accurate permit records and documentation.
• Ensure projects comply with local codes and requirements.
• Communicate with inspectors, municipalities, technicians, and staff on permit updates.
• Answer calls professionally and schedule service appointments.
• Assist customers with questions about services, permits, inspections, and scheduling.
• Dispatch calls to appropriate team members when needed.
• Follow up to confirm appointments and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate customer information in company software.
• Process paperwork and maintain digital files.
• Support service and installation departments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with technicians and management.
