Job summary

Percheron, LLC seeks a Regulatory Specialist to support city, county, railroad, and Corps of Engineers permitting processes in Texas. The role involves coordinating with clients, survey and drilling crews, and engineers to ensure permits are acquired correctly and on time.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relative experience.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledgeable about survey drawings, engineering drawings, and alignments sheets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and to plan, organize and manage time.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and adapt scheduling as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure permits are acquired correctly and promptly.
  • Communicate with the client regarding agreement language, compensation, insurance requirements, bonds, and long lead items.
  • Collaborate with permit agents, survey crew, drill crew, and recording crew to maximize efficiencies.
  • Participate in permit project start-up meetings and ensure understanding of all topics discussed.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Research ownership for surface and/or minerals.
  • Negotiate and acquire surface/mineral permits for crew access.
  • Work with the project manager, project engineers, and surveyors to receive calculations, pipeline specifications, and exhibits.
  • Support surveying, drilling, and recording phases, ensuring permit stipulations are followed and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
