City of Ventura is seeking a motivated Permit Services Technician to join the Community Development Department. Under general supervision, the role issues building permits, processes plans, and maintains records.

You will be the first contact for applications, permitting requirements, and fees, assisting contractors and the public with documentation. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, routing for review, resolving inquiries, and supporting office operations.

Qualifikationen

• Provides customer service by answering questions related to permits, fees, codes, and Building and Safety procedures.
• Assists contractors, builders, and the public with permit applications and required documentation.
• Reviews permit applications and plans for completeness and routes documents for departmental review.
