Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is hiring a Technician 1 Power for Day and Night Shift based in Odessa, TX or New Mexico. The role involves rotating shifts and field service, with local travel in a company vehicle to customer sites.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, generator commissioning, and troubleshooting on-site or in shop environments. A strong background in Cummins diesel generators and schematics, plus a valid driver's license, is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Power Day and Night Shift based in Odessa, TX or New Mexico. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil free air without end. What you’ll do

You’ll be based out of our Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.

You are.

Other essential job requirements.

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
