Job summary

Saint Francis Ministries in Amarillo, TX seeks a Permanency Specialist to lead each child and family through the permanency journey, coordinating services and ensuring safety and timely progress toward reunification, adoption, or relative placement.

You will assess needs, develop case plans, engage stakeholders, prepare court documents, and support families through placement changes, crisis intervention, and collaboration with Family Support Workers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a Human Service field from an accredited college.
• Prefer two years’ experience working with children and families.
• Must pass drug screen, MVR, KBI, and background checks (federal/state).
• FBI fingerprint check required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary case manager for assessment, planning, and outcomes.
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments of children and families.
• Develop and monitor case plans toward reunification, adoption, or other permanency goals.
• Prepare court reports and participate in court proceedings.
• Coordinate services including behavioral health and community resources.
• Supervise and transport children and families as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent situations.
• Maintain accurate case documentation.
