Job summary

Necco seeks an Adoption Specialist to guide children, foster and adoptive families through the permanency process. You will conduct home studies, coordinate services, and provide ongoing support from intake through post-adoption stabilization.

You’ll work with children and foster parents across home, school, office, and community settings to support permanency outcomes, well-being, and ethical placements. Travel and collaboration with courts and providers are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with relevant licensure.
• Bachelor's degree with field experience or LSW/LPC in OH/KY/GA/WV.
• Experience in casework with children and families; knowledge of adoption laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home studies and assessments for prospective adoptive families.
• Coordinate services across behavioral health, education, and medical care.
• Develop and monitor individualized adoption plans.
• Support families during placement, transition, and post-adoption.
• Maintain case records in EHR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with courts, attorneys, and agencies to support processes.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff; participate in meetings.
