Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department team member to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while maintaining product levels and enforcing safety standards in the Perishable Department.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, stocking meat, dairy, and other perishables, and adhering to company policies, standard practices, and safety guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain proper product levels in meat, lunchmeat, dairy, and other perishables.
• Receive deliveries, code and rotate stock.
• Follow Food Lion policies, guidelines and safety procedures.
• Maintain department cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
