Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a team member to provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department and maintain department standards. You will assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating perishable goods while ensuring food safety and proper display of items.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, following safety guidelines, and supporting the department to maximize sales and minimize shrink through accurate procedures and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic, fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, rotate and store merchandise.
• Ensure proper product levels in meat, dairy, frozen, and other Perishable areas.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain standards and promotions.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and report accidents as required.
