Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a teammate for the Perishable Department who will prioritize friendly, fast, and accurate customer service while maintaining department standards. You will work within Food Lion's Perishable area, managing inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring product quality and safety.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety guidelines, and willingness to learn company tools and procedures to support daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and place items in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintain proper product levels in meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, and ice cream.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases as needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department and follow safety guidelines.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and badge when on duty.
