Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated team member for the Perishable Department. You will deliver fast, friendly service, rotate stock, and maintain product levels across meat, dairy, and frozen goods.

The role requires adherence to safety standards and effective use of store tools. Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, labeling and stocking, assisting with promotions, and maintaining department cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store items properly.
• Maintain product levels in all areas within the Perishable Department including meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream.
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the planned production tool and as requested or needed.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as requested or needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents per policy.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge on duty.
