Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a team member for the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. The role focuses on fast, friendly service, adherence to safety guidelines, and proper handling of perishable products.

You will receive and stock merchandise, rotate items, and assist with ordering and inventory tools while ensuring a clean, organized department to support sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in all areas within the Perishable Department including meat, lunch meat, frozen, dairy, ice cream.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge when on duty.
