Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a supervisor to assist the Multi-Team leads with scheduling, supervision, and daily flow of departments. You will oversee displays, ensure friendly service, and uphold health and safety standards while aligning with store SOPs.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, training, and customer interaction to maintain high morale and efficient operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to lead and develop others.
• Extensive knowledge of Multi-Team procedures and policies and those of supported department(s).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers outstanding customer service.
• Establishes and maintains a positive work environment that promotes high morale for the team.
• Supervises and delegates tasks to Team Members.
• Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
• Ensures an effective and efficient response to customer questions, requests and/or concerns, seeking assistance when necessary.
• Provides prompt and courteous service when answering the phone.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Communicates attendance issues or concerns to Team Leader and Store Leadership.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questions.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Communicates and maintains Team Member safety and security standards.
• Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
• Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
